NG Hydro supports customers with advice and expert opinions on hydro-mechanical issues. We have experience in expert activities where suppliers and power plant operators disagree on technical and operational issues.
- Analysing the presumed cause of damage based on damage patterns, inspections and measurements
- Development of solution scenarios with/without the manufacturer
- External technical expertise to get a deadlocked situation (e.g. contractual disputes) back on track
- In extreme cases, this can go as far as a technical expert opinion or statement for an arbitration tribunal
Without the systematic analysis by NG Hydro, we would not have found the real cause of the cavitation problem and the manufacturer would have continued to blame our operating conditions for this damage.
